Carbon supports the majority of the Script Manager programming interface.

Available in Carbon 1.0.2 and later when running Mac OS 8.1 or later.

Use CharacterByteType instead. Not available in Carbon.

Part of WorldScript I which Carbon will not support. In the long term you should plan to convert WorldScript applications to use Unicode instead. Not available in Carbon.
